Hello! I'm Terri.
I have a Fine Arts background from the University of Texas at Austin and I've spent over 25 years as an advertising / commercial photographer. www.glanger.com
What started as a hobby has become a meditative practice. Spending so much time in a digital world made me crave something truly analog.
Each piece I make is intuitive and one of a kind. I work with beads that carry stories - some ancient, some modern - drawing from many cultures and times. Each is a conversation between the past and the present. I approach these materials with respect, always aiming to honor their origins.
I was born in South Africa and moved Texas as a toddler, I visited a lot growing up and was mesmerized by the incredible tribal beadwork that you find at local markets. I feel fortunate to be able to incorporate some of those memories into these pieces.
Last but not least, I have a lifelong love of Pekingese dogs. Fate connected me with the absolute angels who save so many lost and abandoned souls at Liz E's Pekingese Rescue and Sanctuary. I'm thrilled to donate $5 of each sale to their mission.
Thanks for looking and thanks for supporting hand-made wearables!
